Cradle Support
For help with Cradle, email philip@minutemanapps.com. Include the Cradle app version, your iOS version, and a brief description of what happened. Please do not send baby-care records, photos, JSON backups, CSV exports, or PDF reports unless you deliberately choose to share them and they are necessary to resolve your request.
Cradle support is not an emergency or medical service. For urgent health or safety concerns, contact emergency services or a qualified medical professional.
Privacy Policy
Operator and Scope
Cradle is operated by Minuteman Apps LLC. This Privacy Policy applies to the Cradle iOS app and its iCloud sync, opt-in Shared Care, notification, widget, Live Activity, Apple Watch, backup, export, and manual care-summary features. It does not apply to third-party products or Apple services that process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Information Cradle Stores
Cradle stores information you choose to enter, including baby profiles and feeding, sleep, diaper, pumping, solid-food, health, medicine, growth, milestone, photo, note, report, and reminder records. Cradle also stores app settings and operational state needed for features such as notifications, widgets, Live Activities, Apple Watch, local-save status, and iCloud availability.
How Your Data Is Used
Cradle uses your records on your devices to provide tracking, timers, reminders, summaries, insights, reports, widgets, Apple Watch features, exports, and backups. The app may process records to calculate trends, generate general recommendations, restore a backup you select, and show recent care information on your devices. Cradle does not use your records for advertising and does not sell personal data.
Food, allergen, sleep, readiness, and feeding-safety information is general educational information. It may not account for a child's medical history or current condition and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition.
Local Storage and Optional iCloud Sync
Cradle saves records locally on the device. When iCloud is available for the signed-in Apple Account, Cradle may use the user's private iCloud and CloudKit storage to synchronize records across that user's supported devices. When iCloud is unavailable, Cradle continues in local-only mode. A local save is not presented as proof that a remote device has received the change.
Minuteman Apps does not operate a server that receives Cradle care records and does not retrieve or inspect users' private CloudKit records as part of the current release. Apple processes iCloud data under Apple's terms and privacy policy.
Cradle Account and Subscription Service
Basic care logging does not require a Cradle account. If a user signs in to subscribe or link Cradle Plus, Cradle uses Sign in with Apple or Google through Supabase to operate that account and maintain a server-verified subscription record. Cradle requests no Sign in with Apple profile scopes or email address. If Google is chosen, Google and Supabase provide the user's email address and basic profile metadata, such as display name and profile-image metadata, for account authentication. The service may also process the user's Supabase account identifier and Apple-signed subscription information such as product, transaction and original-transaction identifiers, account token, environment, renewal state, and relevant dates.
Cradle does not send baby profiles, care logs, health information, photos, notes, reminders, backups, exports, Watch data, widget data, or Live Activity data to Supabase. Those records use local storage, optional same-account private-iCloud sync, and the separate opt-in Shared Care channel described here. Apple handles App Store payment information; Cradle does not receive payment-card details. Supabase Auth and infrastructure logs automatically retain account and provider identifiers, authentication-event metadata, IP address, IP-derived coarse location, and browser or device user-agent information for security, abuse prevention, compliance, and reliable service delivery. Google authentication events may also include the Google account email.
When a user deletes a Cradle account, the app sends a fresh Apple authorization code and/or Google access token, signed identity token, and one-use confirmation nonce to the subscription service so it can verify and revoke or disconnect every provider linked to that account. These provider credentials are used only during the request and are not logged or stored by Cradle. To recover a deletion result after an interrupted request, Cradle keeps an opaque receipt and secret in protected storage on the original device; it does not synchronize that secret to iCloud. The service stores only the secret's hash, operation state and timestamps, and an account link while needed for safe reconciliation. Successful account deletion removes the receipt's account links. Supabase and its infrastructure providers may retain limited authentication and operational logs, including account or provider identifier, Google email where included in an authentication event, IP address, IP-derived coarse location, user agent, event, and time, according to their security and service-retention practices.
Minuteman Apps may provide an account with time-limited complimentary Cradle Plus access. This access is separate from an App Store subscription: it does not create an App Store purchase, charge the user's Apple Account, renew automatically, or change an existing App Store subscription. The service stores the grant's start and expiration times plus an append-only administrative audit tied to the Supabase account identifier. An email address may be used momentarily to identify the intended account, but it is not copied into the complimentary-access or grant-audit records.
Sharing and Export
Shared Care is optional and applies only to the baby profile the owner chooses to share. It uses Apple's private CloudKit invitation and participant controls. An invited caregiver needs Cradle and an Apple Account signed into iCloud. Permitted participants receive the baby's basic profile, factual care records, attached care photos, and caregiver authorship. Owners can choose editor or view-only access and manage participant access. Active timers, unfinished drafts, predictions, and private preferences do not enter Shared Care. This channel does not send baby or care records to the Cradle subscription service.
Sharing may place a copy of care records on a participant's device. Removing a participant or stopping sharing controls ongoing CloudKit access; it cannot recall a summary, export, backup, screenshot, or other copy a participant has already made. Sync and access changes depend on Apple services and connectivity and may take time to propagate. Choose recipients who are authorized to receive and manage the child's information.
"Share Care Summary" remains a separate point-in-time copy selected by the user and passed to the iOS share sheet. The receiving app or person handles that copy under their own privacy practices, and it does not update automatically.
JSON backup and restore, and any CSV or PDF exports offered by the app, are user-initiated file operations. Cradle does not upload those files to a Minuteman Apps server. Users are responsible for choosing where an exported or backup file is stored or sent.
Notifications and Device Features
Cradle may use notifications, widgets, Apple Watch connectivity, Live Activities, and related Apple frameworks to show reminders and current care information. These features depend on the permissions, device settings, and account configuration selected by the user. Information may appear on lock screens, widgets, shared devices, or paired devices when those features are enabled.
Website and Support Contact
When you choose a Cradle legal or support link, it opens in your web browser and the Minuteman Apps website and hosting providers may process standard web-request information, such as the requested page, IP address, browser or device information, and request time, for website delivery, security, and reliability. Cradle does not attach baby-care records, app identifiers, or exported files to those requests.
If you email support, Minuteman Apps receives the sender address, message, and any attachments you deliberately include. Send only the information needed for the request. Support messages may be retained as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain support records, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Retention, Deletion, and Choices
Records remain available until the user deletes an individual record or profile, or uses Delete All Cradle Data. Restoring a JSON backup imports a separate profile and does not overwrite existing records. When iCloud sync is active, an in-app deletion is requested from the user's private iCloud store and may take time to propagate. Uninstalling Cradle alone may not remove records retained in the user's private iCloud store or in Apple device and iCloud backups. Copies may remain in those backups until the user replaces or removes them under Apple's policies.
Users can disable notifications, use local-only mode when iCloud is unavailable, manage or stop Shared Care access, create or restore a JSON backup, export available records, delete an individual profile, or delete all Cradle data from Settings. A manually shared or exported copy cannot be recalled by Cradle after it has been sent to another app or person.
A user who creates a Cradle account can delete that account from Settings after confirming with every linked Apple or Google provider. Account deletion revokes or disconnects those provider credentials, removes the Supabase identity, current complimentary-access grant, public entitlement, private subscription record, and transaction-ownership link, and removes the deleted user's identifier from retained complimentary-access audit events and App Store notification receipts. Limited audit facts may remain for security, fraud prevention, dispute handling, service reliability, or legal compliance. Complimentary-access audit reasons are restricted to non-identifying operational codes, and legacy free-form reason text is redacted; provider authentication or infrastructure logs may retain the account data separately disclosed above.
Account deletion does not delete baby or care records from the device or private iCloud store. Delete All App Data removes app care data but does not delete the Cradle account. Neither action cancels an Apple subscription; users must cancel separately in App Store subscription settings. StoreKit can continue to recognize a still-active subscription locally after account deletion, but that subscription cannot currently be linked to a future Cradle account.
Children's Information and Caregiver Authority
Cradle is intended for parents, guardians, and caregivers, not for children to use directly. A person who enters information about a child represents that they are authorized to provide and manage it for caregiving purposes. Users are responsible for deciding what child information, photos, and notes to enter, whom to invite to Shared Care, and where to send any manual summary or export.
Policy Availability and Updates
The current Privacy Policy is available on this page and through Cradle’s in-app legal links. Minuteman Apps may update it as Cradle’s features or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date identifies the current published version.
Contact and Privacy Requests
Operator: Minuteman Apps LLC. Privacy and support questions may be directed to philip@minutemanapps.com, and mailed notices may be sent to 418 Broadway Ste N, Albany, NY 12207 US. You may also use Cradle’s in-app Help & Support flow or its official App Store support channel.
Terms of Use
Eligibility and Authority
These Terms govern use of Cradle, operated by Minuteman Apps LLC. A user may use Cradle only if they can legally agree to these Terms and are authorized to create and manage the child-care records entered in the app. Users are responsible for ensuring that Shared Care invitations, participant access, manual sharing, and exports are permitted.
License and Acceptable Use
Cradle grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal household, family, and caregiving purposes. You may not misuse the app, interfere with its operation, attempt to reverse engineer it except where law permits, use it for unlawful activity, or share records in a way that violates privacy, confidentiality, or applicable law.
App Store and Platform Terms
If you obtain Cradle through Apple’s App Store, your use of the app must also comply with Apple’s applicable usage rules and platform requirements. Apple is not responsible for Cradle’s services, support, maintenance, or warranty except as required by law. Device manufacturers, carriers, Apple, and other platform providers may impose additional requirements outside Cradle’s control.
Cradle Plus Auto-Renewable Subscription
Cradle may offer an auto-renewable subscription named Cradle Plus. The subscription unlocks the Plus features described on the purchase screen while the subscription is active. The subscription duration, current localized price, and any introductory free-trial offer are loaded from the App Store and displayed before purchase. Introductory offers are available only to accounts Apple determines are eligible.
Payment is charged to the Apple Account when the purchase is confirmed. The subscription renews automatically unless it is canceled before renewal. Renewal is charged through the App Store at the price shown for the account's storefront. Users can view, manage, or cancel the subscription in App Store subscription settings. Deleting Cradle does not cancel an active subscription. Restore Purchases asks the App Store to restore eligible access associated with the Apple Account.
Basic care logging and user-initiated JSON backup and restore remain available without Cradle Plus. The purchase screen identifies which additional insights, reports, exports, history, family, memory, and customization features require a subscription.
Starting a new Cradle Plus purchase requires a Cradle account so the Apple-verified purchase can be linked to that account. Restore Purchases remains available through the App Store and an existing Apple-verified entitlement is not withheld because the Cradle subscription service is temporarily unavailable. A user must not link the same subscription chain to more than one active Cradle account.
Complimentary Cradle Plus Access
Minuteman Apps may issue temporary complimentary Cradle Plus access to a specific Cradle account. Complimentary access is not an App Store subscription or introductory offer, does not charge or renew, and has no App Store subscription to manage or cancel. The app identifies it as complimentary access and shows its expiration rather than representing it as a purchase, free trial, or auto-renewable subscription. Minuteman Apps may allow a complimentary grant to expire or may revoke it. A separately purchased Cradle Plus subscription remains governed by the App Store terms above and is not canceled, extended, or replaced by a complimentary grant.
Cradle Account
Cradle accounts are used only for subscription identity, subscription status, and any time-limited complimentary Plus access. Users are responsible for maintaining access to the Apple or Google sign-in provider they choose. Apple and Google sign-ins can create different Cradle account identifiers unless the identities have been explicitly linked, so users should not assume switching providers recovers a subscription or complimentary grant linked to another Cradle account. Deleting a Cradle account does not cancel billing, does not delete local or private-iCloud care records, and does not currently allow a still-active subscription to be linked to a future Cradle account. Users must cancel an active subscription separately through the App Store and use Cradle's data-deletion controls separately if they also want to remove care records.
Medical and Emergency Disclaimer
Cradle is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Any schedules, trends, reminders, food suggestions, readiness cues, allergen prompts, safety notes, or recommendations in the app are informational only and should not replace professional medical judgment. Do not rely on Cradle for emergencies, urgent symptoms, medication emergencies, suspected allergic reactions, choking events, feeding intolerance, dehydration concerns, breathing difficulty, or any time-critical care decision. If you believe there is an emergency, contact emergency services or a qualified medical professional immediately.
Food Introduction, Allergens, and Feeding Safety
You are solely responsible for deciding whether, when, and how to introduce solid foods or allergenic foods to a child, for confirming developmental readiness, for choosing safe textures and serving methods, and for supervising all feeding. Cradle does not guarantee that any food, allergen, texture, timing, serving suggestion, or feeding workflow shown in the app is safe, appropriate, or suitable for your child.
Consult your pediatrician or another qualified clinician before relying on food-related guidance in the app, especially if the child was born prematurely, has eczema, reflux, poor weight gain, swallowing concerns, prior choking events, known or suspected allergy, or any other medical condition. Stop using food-related guidance and seek appropriate medical care if a child shows signs of an allergic reaction, intolerance, choking, aspiration, breathing difficulty, or other concerning symptoms.
Your Records, Copies, and Devices
Users are responsible for the accuracy of information they enter, the devices and Apple Account they use with Cradle, and actions taken based on app content. A summary, backup, or export sent to another app or person becomes a separate copy outside Cradle's control. Private iCloud synchronization supports devices using the same Apple Account. Separately, opt-in Shared Care gives invited Apple Accounts ongoing access to the selected baby profile under the owner's permissions. Removing access cannot recall independent copies already made by a recipient.
Availability, Changes, and Termination
Features may change over time, including sync behavior, widgets, Apple Watch support, reminders, reports, subscriptions, complimentary access, and exports. Cradle may add, remove, suspend, or modify functionality to improve reliability, safety, legal compliance, or usability. Paid subscription access depends on App Store availability and a verified current entitlement. Complimentary access depends on a current, unexpired grant for the signed-in Cradle account. A user's right to use the app ends if they violate these Terms.
Governing Law and Consumer Rights
These Terms are governed by the applicable law that validly applies to the use of Cradle and any dispute relating to the app. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any non-waivable consumer protections or remedies that apply under the law where you live.
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cradle is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without guarantees that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for every caregiving situation. You are responsible for using appropriate judgment, supervision, safe feeding practices, and backup methods.
To the extent permitted by law, Cradle is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or data-loss damages arising from use of the app, sync or Shared Care access delays, manual summaries or exports, device issues, food preparation or serving decisions, feeding supervision, or reliance on app content, including food suggestions, allergen reminders, safety notes, or other food-related information. To the extent permitted by law, Minuteman Apps LLC disclaims liability for injuries, allergic reactions, choking incidents, aspiration, feeding intolerance, delayed treatment, or other harm allegedly related to food-related use of the app or reliance on app content.
Misuse and Third-Party Claims
If your unlawful use of Cradle, unauthorized disclosure of records, or breach of these Terms causes claims or losses for another person or service provider, you may be responsible for those claims or losses to the extent permitted by law.
Terms Updates
Minuteman Apps may update these Terms as Cradle’s features or legal requirements change. The current version is available on this page and through Cradle’s in-app legal links. Continued use of Cradle after an updated version becomes effective means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
